Hi, all! I have many favorite Bible verses, so I'm going to just list them instead of writing them all out. But, if you want to know what they contain if you don't know already, you can look them up at www.blueletterbible.org. My favorite Bible verses are Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, John 3:16, Matthew 5:3-16, Matthew 18:21-22, Matthew 21:22, Psalms 139:19-24, and Psalms 150. What are y'all's favorite Bible verses? If you have many like I do, and you don't feel like writing all of them out, LOL, just write their titles... or whatever you call 'em, and I'll look 'em up! I'd love to see feedback on this! God bless!
I like John 3.16 cuz that's the only one I remember by heart. hahahahah
*sexy*
Revelations the sheer lunacy of it has always amazed me
You know, Goblin, you're really beginning to piss me off. I posted this topic for people who care, not arrogant ones like you who post in every darned topic jsut to get attention and more bulk on the statistics. You think you're all that; well, you're not. So leave us alone just for this once. This was supposed to be a fun, clean, nice topic, and you had to go and screw it up. If you don't like the Bible, don't post here, darn it!
Crap and you need to do something about this anger problem...
'Anger problem?' That is quite irrelevant, Goblin. Thanks for once again changing the subject and sidestepping my reprimanding. You've earned a brownie point! Not.
Revelations 3:20, Philippians 4:8 (THINK on these things..), 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (The Love Chapter), Galatians 5:22-23 (The Fruit of the Spirit is..), Psalms 23rd (Shepherd's Psalm), Matthew 5:1-12 (The Beautitudes)
ooh thanks I'll hafta look some of those up!
... in regards to Eccl. Chapter #3 I suppose you have heard the song: To Everything Turn, Turn, Turn. It reminds me that like as in the seasons with all the changes so too our lives experience many changes. A time to be born and a time to die and in beween those two infinities a time for loving/hating, embracing/not embracing, danceing/mourning, a time to rend and a time to sew.... a time of war and a time of peace. Thanks for Posting this topic MelMel. Connie
Hafta is that a word how common...
Goblin, do you hafta, there, I said it just to piss you off, do you hafta, pick, apart, every, little, word, I, say, like, you're, reading, it, word, by, word, are, you, that, analytic? And, yes, thank, you, it, is, a, word, in, my, vocabulary, as, you, can, see, this, isn't, a, grammar, lesson, so, butt, out, and, also, you, coulda, done, this, on, a, different, topic, but, no, you, just, hadda, pick, this, one. Bite, me. Let, this, topic, hold, to, its, name, thank, you.
MelMel, between these new words of yours like, hafta and coulda and hadda, I am somehow given remembrance of a couple of Bible verses *smile* In Romans 7:15 we read, "For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I." v.19 "For the good that I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do" Connie
how childish nothing you do pisses me off pal, as I have better things to do than to allow you to annoy me. The only PO'd one here is yourself, that is evident from your reaction
You're darned straight I'm P.O.ed! Leave this board alone with your silly criticism that nobody cares for!
How dare someone talk to my friend like that! Goblin, Mel posted this topic for Bible verses. She did not want you to criticize her. Please keep all comments to yourself thank you. We do have the freedom of religion, but to slam someone like that, I do not think so. Please treat others as you would want to be treated. Thanks.

Here are some of my favorit Bible verses. I love the whole Bible, but here are some verses that I think stick out at me.
Psalms 100:4
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, [and] bless his name.
Psalms 145:21
My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Deu 26:11
And thou shalt rejoice in every good [thing] which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that
[is] among you.
And that is not all. More is to come.
Ooh, yay! Thank you! Just reading it makes me feel tons better!
"Come unto me, and all ye that lether and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." I think its somewhere in matthew..... I will get back to ya.
I like that one! Keep this up, peeps! I really like this!
The Lord's Prayer can be found in Matthew 6:9-15. It is the one that starts out, "Our Father which art in heaven...."
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27.)
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." (Psalms 51:10)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son. That who so ever, believes in Him, will not parish, but will have ever lasting life." John 3-16
"'A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.'" (Luke 8:5-8.)
OOOO! O love that verse!!! Yeayeayeayea!!
Now then this is the meaning of the parable of the sower: The seed is the Word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and have no root, which for awhile beleive, and in time of temptation all away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they hae heard, go forth, and are choked out with the cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. (Luke 8:11-15)
I love that one too!
It is simply giving the meaning of what the parable you gave in Post #24 is speaking of... Now going back over and reading what I typed it should read: (Sorry - typing errors) which for awhile BELIEVE, and in time of temptation FALL away .... when they HAVE heard, go forth (Words in CAPITALS are corrected spellings) I would think you have more favorite verses...
I like Psalm 23 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
I like Romans 8:28 and the on in Rev ch. 20 I think....the "he shall wipe away every tear..." one
How about Philippians 4:13 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." I also like the Beautides in Matthew, and Psalm 91:1 "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Or what about The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”"
I like the Bible verse that says to test all things for truth and goodness, I forget the exact verse. I also like the Beatitudes and the part Paul writes about love. He needed to love himself a bit more though. Also, I like the verses Paul writes about the wife having control over the husband's body, and the husband having control over the wife's, kinda kinky for the Bible, LOL.
I like first corrinthians chapter 6 9-11 especially the last verse because it talks about how there is hope for a change.Anyone who knows of my struggle will know why
I love First Corinthians!
"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
'This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it--the LORD is his name: 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' Jeremiah 33:2-3
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?' 1Corinthians 15:51-55
'Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 'Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7:7-11

I do believe someone said Rev. 3:20 was one of their faves... it is now one of mine too. A friend pointed me in its direction...
1 As the hart (deer) panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. 6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. 7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. 8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. 9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? 11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. PSALMS Chapter 42 (KJV Bible)
There is verse in Proverbs that talks about us going back to our sin is like a dog returning to its vomit. I can't remember the exact location. O, and there is a bible program called Theophilos witch you can try and get it off of www.blindsoftware.com.
Rail Racer,
Taking note that it has been almost nine months since any additions to this Board and now I should like to add the following from Isaiah 40:31. (KJV)
31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
CG
Your right. I just found the location.
Hey all
I love Psalms 23 and 27. The proverbs (all of them) Eclesiastes 3 1-8 and the song of Solemon
Romans 13:4 seemed to have found a special place in Hitler's little heart.
i like the one that says simply, jesus wept, because it lets me know thats its fine to cry, because he did it
John 3-16
